Paint Color Consultation: On-site
$210 per hour

Choosing the right paint color can be extremely daunting for many people. Let Laurie or Julia use their professional artist's eye to help you avoid unnecessary mistakes and achieve the perfect look and feel. Interior color scheme or Exterior color scheme; Residential or Commercial. There is nothing you need to do to prepare. Just give your design consultant a quick tour, tell her how you want to the rooms to feel, and she translates that into a personalized paint color scheme, for as many rooms as needed. The color consultation is fun and painless. On that same day, you'll receive an itemized room-by-room written paint color plan. You'll love your colors!
We are located in Madison, WI. On-site consultations are provided to clients who live within South-Central Wisconsin. Travel charges may apply if outside of our territory.
Virtual Exterior Consulting (Exterior only) is available for those exterior clients who live in other states or who are located far outside of our local Madison Wisconsin area.
Brainstorm Session: Home Refresh, Remodel, or New Build
$450 per hour

Whether your scope is large or small, your color and design selections can make or break the outcome of your project. Do you need an extra pair of eyes and advice on making color & design selections? Book a Brainstorm Session when you're overwhelmed and confused. A brainstorm session is a synergistic collaborative experience. It helps you to see new creative and clever solutions. A Brainstorm Session is prefect when you've come home from the showroom and feel overwhelmed by your samples of flooring, countertops, etc. During a Brainstorm Session with Laurie Lundgren Color & Design you'll get an unbiased professional opinion and the confirmation or validation you need, giving you the confidence to move forward without fear! We do not "sell" anything at all. We are on your team - more like your design coach- here to help you consider all of your options and skillfully guide you to your best design. The Brainstorm Session is often completed in one single visit, and is always done on-site, at your home or project location. With a quick tour of your home's interior (or exterior), your designer will pick up on subtle architectural features and your style. They create the result of a seamless update by skillfully coordinating the new materials with the existing. Their solutions are practical and cost effective, all while ensuring a beautiful outcome. Your virtual consultation is easy! This single-session offers detailed and completely personalized outcomes. Here’s how it works:
- You’ll receive specific instructions on how to send us photos of your home and a brief description of your goals before your session.
- Then, we’ll schedule a live Zoom consultation where your designer, Julia will listen like a friend and create solutions like a pro.
- In collaboration with you, we’ll explore options, discuss ideas, and develop a tailored written plan that gives you confidence moving forward with your project.
Our process is collaborative, creative, and confidence-boosting—helping you see your home in a whole new light whether you live near or far!
How does this all work?
What to Expect
Once you make the decision to reach out to Laurie Lundgren Color & Design you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing you'll be in good hands. You'll have expert help in making those difficult and important color decisions. You get to rent their creativity! And because Laurie and Julia are not salespeople, they do not "sell" you anything. They are your design guides and have only your best interest in mind.
Our design team consists of two designers. As soon as you meet your designer, you can't help but notice their kindness, creativity, and vision. Laurie and Julia truly love working with clients to design the perfect color and design plan for you. Each of our designers has a knack for decorating with a creative, yet practical, money-saving approach. For a paint color consultation, you will usually work with Julia. For other projects, such as a home refresh, a remodel, or a new build you will work with both Laurie and Julia as a design team. It is a synergistic brainstorm session that produces concrete color and design decisions.
Your designer(s) will arrive at your home. Your in-home color & design consultation will consist of your designer asking some casual questions about your goals for your home. Nothing intimidating here! You will have a chat while you give a tour through the areas of your for which you want guidance. Your design consultant is a lot like a translator or an interpreter; She will be listening carefully to the challenges you've shared, and during the visit, she'll begin translating those issues into a creative a solution for you, personally tailored to your needs.
Immediately following the tour, while still at your home, your designer will take a short time to create a plan for you and then will present yourr color and design recommendations. She will carefully help you come to the decisions that feel right to you. Your in-home consultation is fun, stress-free, and provides you with a detailed room-by-room written plan of all of your paint color selections and any other design advice which may have been given.
Both Julia and Laurie use their talent, their ability to visualize, and their keen eye for color and design to deftly get you to the perfect colors and design selections for your home or place of business.
